David Terhune


David Terhune is the founder of the Kustard Kings, the house band for the popular Loser's Lounge shows in New York City since 1993.

The Kustard Kings have two instrumental records on Confidential Recordings - "Blam!" and "A Kustard Kristmas."

David is a songwriter/multi-instrumentalist, and his many bands include Plink and Scud, Normal Men, Leap of Faith, Bootfoot, The Fraidy Cats and The Terhune Brothers. Teenage David played drums in his parents' lounge act, Charles and Mary. He has also played drums with The Sloppy Joes (Michael Shelley)and guitar with The Liquor Giants. His lyrics have been used by composer Randall Woolf and appear on his cd "Rock Steady."

In addition to his musical pursuits, David is a frequent writer of letters-to-the-editor. His opinions have appeared in TIME Magazine, Newsweek, The New York Times, The Daily News, and many other periodicals.
